Since 2002 the Provincial Domain Dommelhof in Neerpelt has been the home base of Musica. Located nearby the border with the Netherlands and in the midst of green forests, this site offers plenty of trump cards.
With Klankenbos (Sound Forest), sound art gets pride of place in our operations: the forest is a strong setting for high-quality art works, and the forest invites all people to familiarize themselves, while walking and enjoying nature, with an art form that is otherwise not so accessible.
Klankenbos is a permanent collection of sound installations in open air. The setting is unique in Europe and meant for a broad range of visitors, encouraged to learn more about sound art and to discover sound as well as silence.
